THEY may be in Grafton for only a few more days, but country music darlings Brooke, Samantha and Mollie McClymont treasure every moment they have in their home town.
Revelling in the chance to spend time with their loved ones and catch up on friends, the trio were special guests at a mayoral reception yesterday.
Describing them as "the sisters of Grafton", Mayor Richie Williamson welcomed The McClymonts back home ahead of their scheduled live performance and official launch of their third album, Two Worlds Collide, at the Grafton Racecourse tonight.
"It is always a privilege to have the girls back in Grafton. We at home are very proud of them and everything they have achieved," he said.
"I know there are only bigger and better things to come for the girls and we always enjoy the atmosphere they bring with them when they come home."
A short pause followed and the sound of applause filled the room before Sam stepped forward and thanked Cr Williamson for his kind words.
Announcing the choice of location for their album launch as a "no-brainer", Sam said.
Bringing Two Worlds Collide to Grafton was a homage to show people how much their home community's support means to the sisters.
The first single from the album, How Long Have You Known, rocketed to number one on the Australian Country Music chart and the CMC Video Chart in early April.
Mollie said the group was looking forward to performing their new songs live tonight.
"We would like to thank everyone for their support over the years," Brooke added.
"We really appreciate it."
Cr Williamson then became the first local to get his hands on Two Worlds Collide, a homecoming gift from the three sisters.
Tonight is the last time the girls will perform in Australia before embarking on a three-month summer tour in the USA.
