HTC Update News: HTC ThunderBolt Update 2 Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Video Chat 6/30 Release Date?

Verizon is prepping updates for many of its top smartphones, the Droid 2 Global update to Gingerbread was delayed and now there is a leaked screenshot showing an update for the HTC ThunderBolt to Gingerbread 2.3.4 on June 30.

The HTC ThunderBolt update adds Skype Video, GTalk Video, enhanced Microsoft Exchange extensions along with Android 2.34, Sense 2.1, aGPS enhancements, Amazon Appstore, Download manager, Verizon Phone Finder and My Verizon.

Many are hoping that the update fixes known issues of the including the recent rebooting problem after the last HTC ThunderBolt? update.

The HTC ThunderBolt is part of the Verizon Awesome 4G-Threesome, free mobile hotspots was extended until? July 6.

Gingerbread features include download management, better on-screen keyboard with multi-touch/auto-correction, improved cut/paste, icons, app groups, updated calendar options, security features, camera improvements, and improved email synching (read top Gingerbread tips).
